The Boy is a character from A Link Between Worlds. He is the Hyrulean counterpart of the Derby Boy. He can be found walking around Kakariko Village next to Sahasrahla's house. When Link talks to the Boy at the beginning of the game, he asks if Link knows the fortune-teller near the Lost Woods and explains that he saw the fortune-teller put on freaky glasses.[1] After putting the glasses on, he started to talk even though no one was there, the Boy asking if he saw something they could not.[2] If Link talks to him again, the Boy reassures the fortune-teller can see something that Link and him cannot see when he has those glasses.[3]

Once Link receives the Hint Glasses from the fortune-teller, the Boy asks him if he has heard about a man who lives in a hidden place somewhere with many little birds.[4] The Boy wishes he could make friends with little birds like the man can.[5] If Link talks to him again, the Boy remembers he heard the bird guy lives somewhere along the river and wishes to see the man's birds.[6]

When Link is searching for Sahasrahla, he can talk to the Boy who asks what Link is doing, thinking he is maybe looking for the elder.[7] Helping Link, he thinks the elder should be inside his house that is located directly next to them.[8] However, the Boy doesn't know that much about Sahasrahla.[9] He tells Link that it seems the elder has been around since forever.[10] If Link talks to him again, the Boy informs him that Sahasrahla does not go out of his house that much these days.[11] But his student, Osfala, stops by and plays with the Boy now and then.[12]

After Link bumps into the Shady Guy at Zora's Domain, the Boy asks him if he has seen the guy near Sahasrahla's house.[13] He explains that the man runs away if he gets too close to him, so the Boy thinks he must be a professional tag player or something.[14] He tells Link that the Shady Guy stands there with his back to the wall, watching everyone in the village.[15] If Link talks to him again, the Boy tells him he has tried his best to sneak up on the Shady Guy, but as a result of being fast, he runs away every time.[16] The Boy then says there has to be a way to sneak up on him, but it isn't helpful that he stands with his back to the wall.[17]

If Link meets the Bird Lover, the Boy informs Link that there is a weird haze around Hyrule Castle and asks if he knows anything about it.[18] Once Link acquires the Master Sword, the Boy asks him if he is going to Hyrule Castle.[19] He is then informed by the Boy that Sahasrahla has headed off to the castle and is asked if trouble is happening there.[20] If Link talks to him again, the Boy wonders why Sahasrahla hurried to the castle, realizing something awful is going on there.[21]

If Link talks to the Boy after visiting Lorule for the first time, he realizes that he hasn't seen Sahasrahla's pupil recently, who plays with him now and then.[22] He wonders where Osfala has gone to.[23]

During the credits, the Boy can be seen at the Cucco Ranch along with the Girl and the Cucco Girl.
