Bottle bugs are an item in Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. Their AI is the same in both games.
Getting
The are obtained by catching bugs in a bottle. Bugs are found under rocks.
Behavior
When released the Bug will split into three. In all versions of both games except Ocarina of Time 3D you can scoop back up bugs for an endless supply.
Usage
When released near some Soft Soil patches to reveal a Gold Skulltula.
