Bottle bugs are an item found in Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. They are often hiding under rocks. Link may capture a bug by trapping it in a bottle or may be purchased in certain shops for 100 Rupees.
When released near a patch of Soft Soil, the bug will reveal a Gold Skulltula. Link may also sell the bug to a shop for fifty rupees. In Majora's Mask, Link call also release bugs in patches of soft soil to receive arrows, rupees or bombs.
