Bombs are a common item in the Legend of Zelda series. They are powerful explosives which can damage enemies or be used to clear paths. They do not work underwater. In the earlier games, bombs could be carried without any other required items, while in the latter games, bomb bags were needs to carry them.
==Legend of Zelda==
Bombs are found in dungeons, dropped by enemies or can be purchased at several of the stores in the games. They can be used to damage enemies and destroy walls in dungeons which give Link another path to take. In the Legend of Zelda, Links bombs do not harm him like in the latter games. The Old Men in some of the dungeons offer Link the ability to carry more bombs, which is very useful.
