"A rare material obtained by defeating a Bokoblin. It convulses on its own every now and then, which is really creepy, but perhaps it has a use."

— In-Game Description

Bokoblin Guts are a material found in Breath of the Wild. They can be obtained as an uncommon drop by defeating higher ranked Bokoblin. It can be used to upgrade pieces of armor found in the game, such as the Hylian Trousers, but also can be traded with Kilton at his shop, the Fang and Bone, for 10 Mon each.

Standard orange Bokoblin will not drop Bokoblin Guts. They can only be acquired from Blue Bokoblin, Black Bokoblin, Silver Bokoblin, or Golden Bokoblin. While these Bokoblin are not quite as abundant as their orange counterparts they are still plentiful across Hyrule. Bokoblin Guts are often found alongside Bokoblin Horn and Bokoblin Fang.

Cooking

Like other monster parts, Bokoblin Guts can be cooked with Bugs, Frogs, or Lizards, to create Elixirs. The Bokoblin Guts don't add anything of substance while cooking, but are required to make the Elixir. If Link adds Bokoblin Guts to a dish with regular food, or if the pot only contains monster parts, this will result in Link making Dubious Food.

Trivia

  • During the development of Breath of the Wild, Bokoblin Guts were referred to as Bokoblin Livers.
