Jump Attack
Blue Stalfos are recurring enemies in The Legend of Zelda series. They are one of many variants of the Stalfos, and their relative strength differs from different games.
The Adventure of Link
In The Adventure of Link, the Blue Stalfos is stronger than their Red Stalfos counterparts. They will drop 50 Experience Points when defeated. They appear within the Midoro Palace and Palace on the Sea.

A Link to the Past
In A Link to the Past, the Blue Stalfos are the first variant of the Stalfos family that appears, found within the Eastern Palace. They are the most fundamental of the Stalfos family and provide very little harm to Link. Blue Stalfos often appear in bunches, but even then they are quite harmless to Link as they will only do a ½ heart of damage if they come into contact with Link.
They quickly move around the ground, wandering back and forth in no particular order. If Link draws near and swipes at them with his sword, the Stalfos will jump back to avoid the attack. In order to harm them, Link must attack from up close, so the attack hits before the Stalfos can jump away. Alternatively, Link can corner a Stalfos by backing it into a wall before slashing at it.
It will take two strikes with Link's Fighter's Sword to defeat this creature. Alternatively, Link can toss his Boomerang at a Stalfos and can defeat it with four strikes. If Link sprinkles Magic Powder on a Blue Stalfos, it will transform into a Slime enemy.
Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages

The blue variation in this game are some of the easiest enemies encountered. They simply waddle around a few dungeons and attempt to bump into Link. They can sometimes be annoying in groups with different enemies. Walk up to them and slash away with the sword.
A unique Blue Stalfos appears as the mini-boss of the Ancient Tomb in Oracle of Ages.
The Minish Cap
In The Minish Cap, Blue Stalfos first appear in the Fortress of Winds. They walk around and will jump up, trying to land on top of Link. Two sword slashes with the White Sword will defeat them.
Link is able to use the Gust Jar to pull the head off of the Blue Stalfos. At this point the enemy will lose its ability to jump and will instead wander aimlessly. If there are loose Skulls on the ground, they will pick one up and place it on its head, returning back to its normal Stalfos form.
