Template:Enemy

The Beamos are a type of mechanical enemy that appear throughout the game, They are usually used as a security system in dungeons and spin around controlling a certain territory. They shoot beams at Link if they spot him and the only way to dispose of them in some games are Link's Arrows. Usually their design suggest that they are ancient machines, but in Skyward Sword Beamos look more futuristic than aver before.

A Link to the Past

Beamos made their first apperance in A Link to the Past. In this game they were indusructible, stationary totem pole-like enemies that would constantly spin around, gazing around the room. If its eye saw Link then the eye would fire a beam, dealing one heart damage. The only two ways to defend against tis undefeatable enemy is to A) Use the mirror shield, or B) Hide behind a pot.

Link's Awakening

In this game, Beamos look differently, but act the same as those from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

Ocarina of Time

These almost statue like enemies are not at many places in the game, but the few places they can be found are Within The Well, the Shadow Temple, Dodongo's Cavern, the Gerudo's Training Grounds, the Spirit Temple, and Ganon's Castle. They do not pose much of a threat and their only attack is to shoot a laser from its eye towards Link. To defeat them blow them up with either a bomb, a bomb flower, or a bombchu.

Majora's Mask

Found only in the Stone Tower area, including Stone Tower Temple itself. They haven't changed from Ocarina of Time and will just like the previous game fire a beam at Link if he gets spotted by it's eye while in the Beamo's territory. The best and only ways to kill them is with bombs, bombchu's or the Blast Mask.

The Wind Waker

Blue Beamos

Blue Beamos are statue-like creatures that remain stationary. The eye at the top of their main 'body' will stay in one spot, unlike the red beamos which rotates. This makes them easier to kill, since you can stand near them to activate the eye without having to worry about getting hit. You can defeat them with a skull hammer, a bomb, or an arrow, but they are only vulnearble when they're attacking you as well.

Red Beamos

Red Beamos are statue-like creatures that remain stationary. The eye at the top of their main 'body' rotates around, unlike the blue beamos which remains stationary. If it sees you, it will try and attack you with its laser. You can defeat them with a skull hammer, a bomb, or an arrow, but they are only vulnerable when they're attacking you as well.

Twilight Princess

Brown Beamos

Mostly found in the Goron Mines, and other smaller caves, this Beamos shoots fire beams at Link, they can be beaten by shooting an arrow into their eye. After being killed, you can drag them on a set path to cover switches or get to chests.

White Beamos

Located in the Temple of Time the White Beamos shoot beams at you. They can be defeated by shooting an arrow at it's eye, or by being smashed by a statue Link controls with the Dominion Rod.

Skyward Sword

Beamos are multilayered totem-pole like objects found within the Lanayru Mining Facility and Sandship made up of different electrified parts. The head of the beamos turns in a mechanical way, as opposed to a fluent turning motion. These enemies can be defeated by horizontally slicing apart different sections of their body, and then stabbing the eye. The beamos will shoot out a laser beam from its eye, but this attack can be deflected using the shield.
