The Banded Shield is crafted by taking your old Wooden Shield,to the Scrap Shop owner and paying him 30 rupees to upgrade it. The Banded Shield is much more durable than the Wooden Shield, capable of taking a great deal more hits, but as its still made of wood, it will burn to ashes, so be careful with it.
Link can later upgrade the Banded Shield into the Braced Shield.
