The Ball and Chain is required to defeat certain enemies such as Freezards, Mini-Freezards and the boss of the Snowpeak Ruins, Blizzeta. It also makes defeating Chilfos much easier. It can also be used to destroy objects,[2] such as suits of armor.[4]
