Baba Serpents are enemies from Twilight Princess. Baba Serpents are predatory plant-beings that inhabit forest regions of Hyrule. Closely related to Deku Babas, they are much more vicious and resilient, shutting their jaws on their prey even when removed from their roots. When detached from their roots, Baba Serpents can crawl around and attack Link. The fact that they can detach from their roots is the main difference between them and regular Deku Babas. Link can use Spin Attacks to detach one from its roots, and then attack it with regualr sword slashes to finish them. However, while they are detached, they can come close enough to clap their jaws and hold Link in place. The only way to escape this is by performing a Spin Attack, which not only releases Link but damages the Baba Serpent. Baba Sepents can also be found hanging from the ceiling. If this is the case, long-range weapon such as the Gale Boomerang, Hero's Bow or Clawshot can be used to detach them, at which point LInk will have to attack with his sword.

Baba Serpents are found in the forest regions of Hyrule, including the Forest Temple, Hyrule Field, City in the Sky and the Cave of Ordeals.
