Armos Statues are re-occuring objects that appear throughout The Legend of Zelda series. These statues are identical to ordinary Armos, except that they show no signs of life. Some of these statues are stationary and cannot be moved, while others can be pushed or destroyed to solve puzzles.

Appearances

A Link to the Past

Armos Statues are featured as the first major dungeon boss of A Link to the Past going by the moniker, Armos Knights. They are faced at the end of the Eastern Palace. They move in a simple pattern until all but one is defeated. The remaining Armos Knight then turns red and attacks Link directly. Upon their defeat, Link is awarded the Pendant of Courage.

Link's Awakening

In Link's Awakening, Armos appear just outside of Southern Face Shrine. Some of the statues here are actual Armos and will animate when Link makes contact with them. However, most of the objects here are purely Armos Statues and cannot be moved.

Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask

In Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, Armos Statues appear throughout dungeons. They have the same appearance as dormant Armos, except Link move them around, often times used to push on top of switches or to move out of the way to reach new areas. Dormant Armos comes to life when made contact with and in Ocarina of Time, young Link can only kill them with Bombs or Bomb Flowers. However, adult Link can damage them with his sword.

Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages

In Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages, Armos statues appear just as they did in Link's Awakening. Many can be pushed as part of secrets throughout the overworld, or in some cases, must be pushed to progress in certain areas.

Four Sword Adventures

Armos Statues appear in the second level of the Desert of Doubt, the Desert Palace, acting as both an obstacle to be pushed aside to gain access to more areas, and a reoccurring enemy.

Twilight Princess

In Twilight Princess, Armos statues somewhat resemble the Moai statue of Easter Island, while wielding both a hammer and shield. They appear dormant at first appearing like wooden sculptures, but come to life with blue streaks of light across its body when Link comes near. They move around by hopping and deal half a heart of damage when striking. Link can destroy the Armos by using the Back Slice on the gem located on the Armos' back. Other ways to destroy it are the clawshot and the Ancient Statue's hammer. They are found in the Cave of Ordeals and Temple of Time.
