The Armos Knight is an Overworld Mini-Boss that appears within Link's Awakening. It can be found within the Southern Face Shrine, where it protects the Face Key.

Battle

When Link first enters the room with the Armos Knight, he will remain motionless until Link approaches him. The Knight will jump and pound the ground, temporarily stunning Link in the process. To avoid being stunned, Link can use the Roc's Feather to jump and avoid the shock from the ground pound. The Armos Knight will also attack Link by running towards him.

Link can use his Sword to attack the Armos Knight, utilizing the Spin Attack. This can be difficult as Link must get up close with the Knight and risks taking damage. The easier method of fighting the Armos Knight is to use the Bow. Link can keep a safe distance from the Knight and repeatedly shoot Arrows towards him.

After the Knight has taken some damage, its shield will begin to crumble. After a few more hits, the helmet of the Knight will also crumble. After losing some of its armor, the Knight will move a bit faster.

Reward

After defeating the Armos Knight, Link acquires the Face Key, the item required to enter the 6th dungeon, the Face Shrine. Link will also find a mural that reveals a secret about the Wind Fish.
