Template:Enemy

Armos are statue enemies that reside in the ruins outside of the Eastern Palace. They look like normal statues, until you come up to them and touch them. They will hop around the screen and attempt to chase after you. A good few hits from the sword should take care of them, but it's still best to remain cautious with them. These enemies are similar to the six Armos Knights that Link will fight in the Eastern Palace. They are found in almost all games.

Appearances

The Legend of Zelda

They are statues found throughout the entire overworld of Hyrule. When you touch them, they come to life and you must slash them with your sword to kill them. Some move very slowly while others move extremely fast. They take 3 hits from the Wooden Sword, 2 hits from the White Sword, and 1 hit from the Magical Sword.

A Link to The Past

They are only found in the swamp palace and the Ice palace in the Dark World. Like other games they come to life when you touch them to kill them you must simply slash them with your sword.

Link's Awakening

If you touch them they will randomly move around the room. If they touch you you lose two hearts. They can be found in the overworld. Two ways to kill them (because the sword does no damage) is to shoot them with a bomb or shoot them with your hookshot and place a bomb nearby.

They are found in the Dodongo's Cavern and the Spirit Temple. These Armos sit completely still until you touch them. They go nuts and start chasing you. If you don't kill them fast enough, then they will return to their original position and go back to sleep. To kill them, you must blow up a bomb behind it, use Deku Nuts, or use the Megaton Hammer. When it dies, it goes completely nuts for a few moments before they blow up. They have two attacks; contact takes away half a heart and the explosion takes away half a heart as well.

Majora's Mask

They can only be found in the Stone Tower Temple. They also come to life when you touch them. They will go after you before returning to their original position. To kill them, you can either use a bomb or a fire punch. When they are dying they will spin around towards you and explode. To make sure that you don't take any damage, either avoid them when they are like this or give damage to them again.

Oracle of Seasons/Oracle of Ages

Like other games, they come to life by touch, but one difference is that there are two types of them: red and blue. The red ones only come to life when you activate a switch. They then move around the room. The three ways to kill them are to place a bomb next to them (which can be difficult), hit them with your magic boomerang twice, or simply hit them with the Biggoron's Sword, which can only be found with a secret. The blue ones can be harder to beat because they move really fast and also because they activate whenever you walk past them. To kill them, you must either slash them with your sword thrice or by blowing up bombs nearby twice. Both of them can take a single heart away if they touch you.

The Wind Waker

In this game, they work mostly the same way as usual. Instead of bombs, its weakness is a crystal on its back. It can be easier to attack this weak point once it is stunned in the eye by an arrow. When they are defeated, they jump around like crazy with no direction as a last resort before exploding.

The Minish Cap

They are found in the Wind Ruins. Like other games, they remain completely still until you touch them. You can either deactivate or activate them while you are in Minish form. This is done by climbing up the steps on the front of the Armos, where there will be a special switch. When deactivated, they will not move at all. To kill them, you must activate them and then slash at them with your sword while you are in human form.

Twilight Princess

Like Armos usually do, they sit completely still until you get near them. Their crystal on their back is their weak point, so you must attack it. You can use the Back Slice or smash them with a statue's hammrt that you control with the Dominion Rod. When they die, they go nuts before exploding like a bomb. They are found in the Temple of Time and the Cave of Ordeals. Its only attack is the hammer that takes away half a heart.

Phantom Hourglass

These ones will slowly hop towards you. All you have to do is toss a bomb at it and it will simply deactivate, allowing you to push the body onto a switch. Their only atttack is contact, which takes away half a heart.

Spirit Tracks

Armos only appear as a helpful ride for Miniblins in the Tower of Spirits in this game. The actual Armos may be invincible, but it disappears once its master Miniblin is defated. Because of its high perch, this lucky type of Miniblin can only be fought when Link is being carried by Zelda while she is in control of a Phantom.

Skyward Sword

Armos can be found within the Lanayru Mining Facility. Link can use the Gust Bellow to spin their heads, temporarily stunning them and leaving them vulnerable to attack from your sword.
