Ankle is a recurring character in the Legend of Zelda series. Ankle is the brother of Tingle and Knuckle. He wears a pink suit identical to Tingle's except for the color. Ankle and his siblings can ordinarily be found around Tingle. Ankle is more of a neutral character, contrasting him from his other relatives.

Tingle taught Ankle how to decipher maps, but doesn't help [[Link]] with his maps since he is too busy spinning the tower.

He will only appear after Link has fused a [[Kinstone]] with [[Tingle]] in [[South Hyrule Field]]. Fusing Kinstones with Ankle causes a tree to become accessible in [[North Hyrule Field]]. After Link fuses Kinstones with Tingle, [[David Jr.]], Ankle and [[Knuckle]], all four trees will be accessible in North Hyrule Field and it will lead to Link acquiring the [[Magical Boomerang]].


Ankle and David Jr. constantly work hard to perpetuate the spinning of Tingle Tower, Tingle's lookout tower on Tingle Island. His favorite proverb is "One may as well hang for a stolen sheep as for a stolen lamb."

Ankle is one of the four Tingle Brothers, with the other three being Tingle, Knuckle, and David Jr. Of these brothers, Ankle is the purple-wearing twin of Knuckle, making the two of them the youngest of the brothers.
