The Ancient Short Sword is a sword found in Breath of the Wild.
Appearances

Ancient Short Swords have a base power of 40, and can be obtained by visiting the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab.
This weapon can only be obtained after Link has activated the Ancient Furnace, at which point he should speak with Cherry, the robot, to trade 1,000 Rupees, 15 Ancient Springs, 5 Ancient Shafts, and 2 Ancient Cores for the blade. When Link is carrying this weapon, only the handle shows; the blue parts only show up once it is held in the hand.
It is the eighth and final weapon which needs to be shown to Nebb in the The Weapon Connoisseur side quest.
