The ancient ones, or the Ancient Tribe, are an ancient civilization that the Happy Mask Salesman speaks about in Majora's Mask.
The Ancients used Majora's Mask during their hexing rituals.[1] The Ancient Ones knew of the troubles that the mask caused, and knowing its potential power, the group ultimately sealed away the mask, preventing it from being misused in the future.[2]
However, during the time that the game Majora's Mask takes place, the Ancient Tribe has vanished, so there is nobody that truly knows the nature of the mask's power.[3]
