— In-Game Description[1]

Amber is a material found in Breath of the Wild. It can be obtained from miscellaneous Chests in the game, from mining Ore Deposits, and it is also a very common drop from the Stone Talus. The much weaker Stone Pebblits will also drop Amber on occasion when defeated.

It is required if Link wants to purchase the Amber Earrings from Fashion Passion in Gerudo Town, since 10 are necessary in the manufacture. Alternatively, they can be sold to shop-vendors such as Beedle for 30 Rupees each.

Locations

Amber is the most common of the Gems found in Breath of the Wild and it can be found abundantly in Treasure Chests throughout the Overworld. Amber is most commonly found in treasure chests on the Great Plateau, as well as in the Dueling Peaks region. They also appear fairly often in treasure chests that are buried in the snow on the Gerudo Highlands.
