The Suthorn Forest Walkthrough is a full guide for the first part of Echoes of Wisdom, which includes the game's Prologue, and Zelda's early adventures on Suthorn Beach, in Suthorn Village, and through Suthorn Forest.
Prologue
- During the Prologue, the player controls Link. The protagonist has 20 heart containers, and is equipped with a "Swordsman's Blade" sword, Hylian Shield, Swordsman's Bow + Arrows, and Swordsman's Bombs which can be turned into Bombchu by holding A.
- The prologue serves as a basic tutorial, which shows Link how to swing his sword, jump over obstacles, use his shield, and target distant enemies.
- Navigating the area here is fairly simple, and Link will fight off a few enemies on the fairly linear path.
- Link will encounter Ganon, and will need to fight him.
- Ganon will attack with his Trident, but Link can sidestep the attack. After Ganon misses, Link can use his sword to deal damage on Ganon.
- Ganon will launch an orb towards Link. Link will need to hit the orb back at Ganon. After going back and forth a few times, the orb will hit Ganon and stun him.
- Repeat this process until Ganon has been defeated. A rift will appear and will suck Link in. Just before he vanishes, Link will shoot an arrow, freeing Zelda.
- After Zelda shakes free, the player now controls Zelda. She can run over and collect the Swordsman's Cloak.
- The rift will then begin to chase Zelda. Follow the bead of light and run southward, then westward, before exiting the crumbling dungeon.
- Zelda is then taken to Hyrule Castle Town. She can explore a bit, but the next destination is north, at Hyrule Castle.
- Inside, Zelda will find Impa and will later be introduced to Minister Lefte, General Wright, and the King of Hyrule.
- After a guard comes and gives the King some news, a rift will appear by the throne of the King, swallowing up all three people. They are then replaced by the Minister Lefte Echo, General Wright Echo, and King of Hyrule Echo. The "King" then orders Zelda to be imprisoned.

Escape Hyrule Castle
- Zelda will then appear imprisoned in her jail cell. After moving around a bit, she will be joined by Tri, who tells Zelda she needs to escape. After realizing Zelda is stuck in the cell, Tri will give her the Tri Rod.
- Wielding the Tri Rod, Zelda can use it on enemies or objects that shimmer, including the table in the cell. This will cause Zelda to learn a Table Echo - solid replicas of the original table - which she can make with the Tri Rod. Using this new ability, Zelda can place a few table echoes and escape the jail cell through a high gap on the wall to the left.
- In the room to the left, there are some Guards - if they spot Zelda, they will toss her back in her jail cell. Zelda will need to sneak by without being seen.
- Zelda can initially use table echoes to climb up on the shelves to avoid the first Guard. Here Zelda can learn the Wooden Box Echo from the shimmering Wooden Box.
- Zelda will then need to sneak behind the next two guards, who are patrolling the area, when they are not looking.
- The pair of guards here will give Zelda a hint, about how they are attracted to noise. Climb up top and Zelda can learn the Hyrule Castle Pot Echo. Zelda can then toss these pot to distract some of the nearby guards, allowing her to sneak by. Continue to the left and head to the next room.
- Zelda will meet up with Impa, who advises Zelda to change into her Disguise. Impa will dispose of the guards before giving Zelda a Log, which includes a Map of the overworld. Impa marks the location of a house on the map and encourages Zelda to visit that location. Zelda will then head down the steps, which will begin the first quest, The Mysterious Rifts.
- Zelda will need to navigate a few more areas here. She can learn the Decorative Shrub Echo, which she will need to use to create a pair of Shrubs, which act as a bridge that Zelda can cross over.
- Zelda will see some Old Beds shimmering, and can learn the Old Bed Echo. She will need to use to summon multiple bed echoes, acting as a ramp so that Zelda can reach the exit to the west.
- Outside, Zelda can spin to cut the grass and then drop down into the well to reach the Royal-Family Shortcut.
- After learning the Boulder Echo from the boulder here, Zelda can place a wooden box echo in the water, allowing her to leap out. Zelda can then drop a boulder echo on the wooden boxes at the end, causing them to sink down, and allowing her to pass and resurface.
- Jump into the water and let it take Zelda out to the sandy beach.

- There is a Piece of Heart on the ledge to the south. Zelda can reach it by climbing on the shore to the right and dropping a series of old bed echoes.
- To the north, there is a cave on a higher ledge. Zelda will need to climb up and use some old bed echoes to create a bridge. She can clear the Sea Urchins surrounding the cave, then enter the Beach Cave.
- Inside the beach cave, Zelda can use a Rock to toss at the Keese and learn the Keese Echo.
- In the next area, there are some Wooden Boxes Zelda can break by dropping a rock or boulder from a higher elevation to get another Piece of Heart.
- Once Zelda exits the cave, she'll find herself in Suthorn Prairie. She can climb up a ledge on the right, using table and old bed echoes to find a chest containing 50 rupees. To the right, Zelda can enter Suthorn Village.

- Exit the Village to the east to find the first Waypoint, which acts as a warping location. Continue to follow the path eastward. Across the pond of water, there is a chest with five Electro Apples.
- Continuing along the path to the east, Zelda will find a cave that has an enemy Ignizol in it. She can defeat the enemy with rocks and in the next room, use an Ignizol Echo to light the torch. Here Zelda will find the first of four Fairy Bottles. When she encounters a fairy, it will be automatically stored in any empty bottle.
- Further along in the forest, Zelda will encounter an enemy Rope and can learn a Rope Echo.
- A second cave is found right along the path and once Zelda enters, she can find a piece of heart to the right. She'll have to navigate around the cave to reach it. Zelda will need to defeat the Caromadillo that is found here and can do so by using rock or Sea Urchin echoes. Zelda can then use the Caromadillo Echo to break the wooden boxes ahead, eventually leading to the piece of heart at the cave's entrance.
- Just to the west of the cave, Zelda will encounter a Spear Moblin which she can defeat using a variety of echoes. In the pond here, Zelda can collect a Fairy to store in her Fairy Bottle.
- Zelda can finally make her way to the location Impa marked on the map, but unfortunately the house is partially covered by a rift.
- Navigate to the northeast part of the Forest where Zelda will encounter a Monster Camp. Clear the Spear Moblins to open the chest, which contains ten bunches of Refreshing Grapes.
- Zelda can continue to the east and if she travels to the optional cave to the south, she'll encounter an enemy Peahat inside and can learn a valuable Peahat Echo.
- Travel to the northeast part of the forest and save at the Waypoint. At the far northeast part of the forest, Tri will make a portal that leads down to the Still World.

- To the right side, Zelda will find a cave that has a pair of Dark Keese. She can defeat or avoid them, while stepping on the floor switch to open the door.
- Clear five of the Dark Zol here and continue onward to exit the cave.
- Back outside the Tecuum here will spawn another Dark Zol as well as a Dark Spear Moblin.
