We're glad that you signed up so that you can edit, build, and shape the Zelda Dungeon Wiki! Before you start editing, why don't you check out some of these useful links and read these basic rules?
- Edit your settings. Make sure you have set up your settings to make the wiki work the way you want it. We have a bunch of customizations that we have spent time creating, and we hope that you utilize them to the fullest.
- Please treat all members with respect. We don't want to have to ban someone because there is an issue between our users.
- Use wikicode and link templates when making edits to properly format pages. Use templates often to save on coding everything.
- If you have some questions, instead of sitting around doing nothing, ask our administration team. They won't bite.
- Head to our help page to find some links to helpful pages that will teach you how to do many things on the wiki.
- Read the FAQ to find the answers to a few common questions.
- Please use proper grammar and strive for good edits.
- Always sign talk pages with four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically sign the page with your username and date.
- Use talk pages to talk about edits on pages. Do not participate in editing wars (i.e. editing a page over and over again to make the page what you think it should be rather than what another member thinks) as they are counter productive and will not solve the problem. Use the talk pages like they were meant to be used.
We hope that you enjoy your time here on the Zelda Dungeon Wiki and that you will help us make lots of really good edits. Keep in mind that the administration team will be watching for quality editors to bring them on to our site staff.

Making New Pages
Hi there, Vaatiswrath! It's great to see you making new pages and contributing to the wiki. However, you need to search the wiki before you make a new page. All major words should be capitalized in a title of a page, such as "Song of Storms" rather than "Song of storms". Unfortunately, all of the ocarina songs from Ocarina of Time have already been made, but if you want to add something to them, you can modify their current pages by clicking "edit" at the top. Also, you don't need to sign every page you work on with four tildes. Only add those on talk pages, such as this one that I'm using to message you with. Finally, try to spell and grammar check all of your pages, and capitalize words that need it. The first time that a page name is mentioned, it should be bolded. Good luck in the future! - Hi Vaatiswrath! Welcome to Zelda Dungeon Wiki! Like Heroine said, I am glad that you are contributing to the wiki, but you should follow/take Heroine's advice as she has been here longer. If you need any help with making pages formatting, or making decisions, just contact us on our talk pages or go to the Help page which is found on the Right Bar of the screen, under Navigation. If you need any pages or images to be deleted, just ask any of our administrators such as Locke and Mases to delete them. They won't bite! I promise! Also, use the Templates to your advantage such as the Infobox and Gallery Boxes. These can be found under the Toolbox Section of the Bar on the right. When you create a page, make sure to use Infoboxes and Categories! Categories can be added by putting {{Cat|Example}} at the bottom of the page. Hopefully, you will make great contributions to the Wiki and will have a nice future on Zelda Dungeon Wiki! :) Odd300 :) 02:28, January 5, 2013 (CST)
