The Wind Wakers is the name of a brass orchestra consisting of over 70 Nintendo employees and led by Eiji Aonuma.[1][2] The orchestra was started around 1995 by Aonuma and five other Nintendo employees,[1] and plays three to four concerts per year just for Nintendo employees.[2][3]

  3. "Well personally, I like music a lot. Yesterday, I don't know if you noticed, but I was wearing a T-Shirt that said "The Wind Wakers" on it, which is the name of this Wind Orchestra—basically an Orchestra that is made up of Nintendo employees—that I'm a member of. I play percussion in the orchestra: bongos, congas, timpani, things like that. And we do four concerts per year—and they're not big concerts or anything—they're just for Nintendo employees." — Eiji Aonuma, GDC Roundtable, May 17th 2004
