The Sheikah are one of the classic clans of the Zelda series, officially introduced along with the Gerudo in Ocarina of Time. In general, they live in and around Kakariko Village and the Hidden Village. They seem to live in a state of perpetual near-extinction. One Sheikah in particular, Impa, has appeared regularly since the original Legend of Zelda, though she is rarely confirmed to be Sheikah.

Ocarina of Time
The Sheikah are seen as guardians of the royal family, though the only one seen in this capacity is Impa. She appears during the first visit to Hyrule Castle and teaches Link Zelda's Lullaby. She also points Link towards Death Mountain and mentions the village she once fostered, Kakariko Village.

In the future, Princess Zelda hides by dressing as Sheik, a male Sheikah, and appears often to guide Link through the game. She teaches Link the warping songs, in addition to leaving him more of the game's backstory.
In the future, Princess Zelda disguises herself by dressing as Sheik, a male Sheikah, and appears often in order to guide Link throughout his journey. She teaches Link the majority of the warping songs, in addition to revealing some of Hyrule's history.

Twilight Princess
Twilight Princess
The Sheikah are simply mentioned in this game, though Impaz is confirmed to be of Sheikah descent. It is revealed that the Sheikah once acted as mediators between the Hyrulean Royal Family and the Oocca, a tribe of chicken-like (or rather, Cucco-like) sky dwellers featured in the game.

Skyward Sword
Skyward Sword
The recurring Sheikah make an appearance in Skyward Sword. Impa is the only Sheikah known to appear in Skyward Sword. Link first meets her when he is in Eldin Volcano. Impa helps him by making a brige and telling him that Zelda is ahead. She appears to be a tall thin woman of Hylian characteristics wearing an azure blue suit bearing the very familiar Sheikah symbol. She also has a notable white teardrop tattoo underneath her left eye simulating the traditional symbol of the Sheikah tribe. The Sheikah symbol is painted on her forehead. She has a tan complexion with red eyes and off-white yellow hair, both familiar characteristics as Impa of Ocarina of Time. She has a very long strand of hair hanging down the right side of her face adorned with three beads. On her neck is tight fitting a red banded necklace and her wrists are covered with bandage like wrappings. The second time Link meets her, she isn't very nice to Link. She tells Link that he was late to save Zelda and she tells Link that she is wondering why the goddess even chose him to be Zelda's protector.
The recurring Sheikah make yet another appearance in Skyward Sword. Impa is the only Sheikah that makes an appearance in Skyward Sword. She is a tall, slender woman with a tan complexion and blonde hair. Her attire consists of navy, yellow and orange colors, as well as a Sheikah symbol on the abdominal portion of her clothing. Link first encounters her when he ventures into Eldin Volcano, and she assists him by creating a bridge for him to cross. In addition to that, she also informs him that Zelda is ahead. The second time Link encounters her, she acts somewhat brash. She tells Link that he was too late to save Zelda, and she begins to question why the Goddess even chose him in the first place. As she guides Zelda into the light with her, it becomes evident that Impa is alleged Servant of the Goddess.
She is also seen guiding Princess Zelda into the light with her. This would conclude that she is the Servant of the Goddess spoken of earlier in the game, as she is also featured to be protecting Zelda when Ghirahim attacks them later in the game.
