'''Mothula''' made its original debut in ''[[The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past|A Link to the Past]]''. It serves as the boss of [[Skull Woods]], a dungeon in the [[Dark World]].  

Mothula is the boss of the third dungeon, [[Poison Moth's Lair]]. He will fly in circles around the room and in between the two platforms in the center. He will shoot fireballs randomly around the room, which can be avoided by jumping over them or moving out of the way. He will also shoot baby moths at you which can be avoided or killed to get recovery hearts. The most important thing to remember in this battle is to stay away from the edges of the pits. If you are knocked in, you can use the trampoline to get back up, but you will have to start the battle all over again. To fight Mothula, you will need to equip the [[Roc's Feather]]. Jump around the room while avoiding Mothula's attacks as well as the pits, and slash at him with your sword. After several hits, Mothula will be defeated.
