The main difference is the graphics; the 3DS version graphics are vastly improved from the N64 graphics. Also, there was an improvement with the controls; the start menu interface was replaced with a touchscreen control interface. This works incredibly, making it much easier to equip items. Gyroscope controls were added as well, an optional feature which allows the player to control view or aim weapons by moving the system itself. The [[The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest|Master Quest]] was put in as an unlockable, available once the player finished the main quest. There was another feature put in which was able to be accessed after completing the [[Forest Temple (Ocarina of Time)|Forest Temple]], the Boss Challenge and Boss Gauntlet modes. This mode allows the player to replay bosses, recording the time it takes for the player to make it through the boss or boss gauntlet.
