This is the weakest variation of Moa and can be killed with a few [[Sword]] slash. Link gains 10 experience points for defeating the Red Moa.

Link gains 50 experience points for defeating the Blue Moa.

Purple Moas are identical to blue Moas. They are invisible and you must have obtained the [[Cross]] to see them. Purple Moas appear only in the cursed town of [[Old Kasuto]]. Like the Blue Moas, they have a large amount of hit points and need many sword slash to be killed.
Purple Moas are the only kind of Moa that do not steal experience points if Link touches one. Link gains 50 experience points for defeating the Purple Moa.

Fire Moas are special variation of Moa that only found in palaces. They are orange in color, and have ability to drop fire into their enemies while they fly. Fire Moas have less amount of hit points than Blue and Purple Moas. But, they have the ability to steal experience points from Link like the blue and red ones. They are difficult to kill because they can fly quite high off the ground. Link gains 50 experience points for defeating the Fire Moa.
