The Golden Octoroks are more powerful than normal Octoroks, making them stronger and harder to beat.

In the re-release on the [[Gameboy Advance]], two Golden Octoroks appear in the [[Palace of the Four Sword]]. They are much weaker than their Oracle of Seasons and Minish Cap counterparts, and do not take as many hits to defeat.

The Golden Octorock appears in ''[[The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap|The Minish Cap]]'' only when a successful [[Kinstone]] fusion is made. There is a chance that a Golden Octorock will enter the game somewhere in the map. It can shoot multiple rocks at one time making it very challenging to kill. However if one does manage to kill the Golden Octorock, they will be rewarded with a great amount of [[Rupee]]s. This makes Golden Octorock fighting very helpful for gathering Rupees for expensive items.
