The Outset Island Bridge is a large wooden suspension bridge in The Wind Waker.
Overview
The suspension bridge is located at the top of Outset Island and is part of the main route that leads to the Forest of Fairies. Initially at the start of the game, the path that leads to the bridge is blocked off by some small trees which Link can cut down using the Hero's Sword that he acquires from Orca. The bridge itself is a wobbly bridge that is missing a plank in the middle of it. Link can simply run and jump over the plank to reach the Forest of Fairies.
After finding Tetra and exiting the forest, Aryll will appear and try to cross the bridge. While doing so, the Helmaroc King appears, swooping down and snatching Aryll up while she is standing on the Outset Island Bridge.
Upon returning to Outset Island, the bridge has been broken. In order to cross the now broken bridge, Link will need to play the Wind's Requiem and change the wind direction. After climbing up to the highest point on the west side of the island, Link can jump and use the Deku Leaf to glide across the broken bridge and reach the Forest of Fairies.
