Hyrule Castle Town Ruins is a location in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

Breath of the Wild

The Hyrule Castle Town Ruins are located just south of Hyrule Castle. The area is filled with Malice pools, and Malice Eyeballs, blocking many of the main paths. Guardian Stalkers and Decayed Guardians, some actively patrolling the grounds, others not, are found at a high rate throughout the area, making it very dangerous to navigate. It is not recommended to travel through the ruins unless Link has effective equipment, such as Ancient Arrows, or any ancient or guardian weapons.

While these ruins are certainly very dangerous to navigate, there is plenty of valuable treasure to be found, especially within the walls of the ruined town. Many treasure chests in the area hold Purple Rupees, as well as rare gems, including Sapphire, Topaz, Amber, and even some Luminous Stone.

The pinwheel at the top of this section of wall spawns five balloons to the north. Shoot them.

The five balloons north of this pinwheel spin in a circle, with the closest balloons moving the fastest, and the farthest balloons moving the slowest.

Shoot the Hylian symbol on the north side of the wall, above the gate. The two Arrows stuck to the plate hint at the solution.

The two arrows already embedded in the symbol are a clue to shoot the Hylian plate with an Arrow.

Tears of the Kingdom

The Hyrule Castle Town Ruins are located just south of Hyrule Castle and north of Lookout Landing. Numerous tents and building supplies are scattered about, used by the search team that is investigating Hyrule Castle. Within these tents, Link can find some Acorns, a Traveler's Claymore, Traveler's Spear, Pot Lid, and a Traveler's Shield. A few Hylians can be found in the area, including Mylle, who is investigating the Kyononis Shrine that has appeared.

Addison can be found in the area, just south of the Central Square, where he is holding up one of the 81 Hudson Sign Locations in Hyrule. Link can use one of the pre-made connected wood panels to hold up the sign. As a thanks, Addison will give Link a Red Rupee, some Veggie Rice Balls, and a Sleepover Ticket.

Kyononis Shrine

Main article: Kyononis Shrine

The Kyononis Shrine can be found at the Hyrule Castle Town Ruins. Given its proximity to the Lookout Landing in an early region of the game, the Shrine is a simple Combat Training shrine, focused on some of the more simpler aspects of combat, serving more as a tutorial.

Trivia

  • Several of the active Guardian Stalkers at the ruins can be found actively missing legs. This is unique of this location, as active Stalkers at all other locations always have all of their six legs.
