The Horon Village Old Man is a character in Oracle of Seasons. He will only appear after Link has defeated Onox.
Clock Shop Secret

In a Linked Game of Oracle of Ages, after Link has completed the Skull Dungeon, the South Lynna Old Hag will appear in the present day, standing right by the Ember Tree, just south of the Lynna City Shop. She will recognize Link and will offer Link a useful tip.[1] She tells Link that if Link digs just north of the Clock Shop in Horon Village, Link will find one of her friends. She asks Link to tell him a secret.[2]
Back in Oracle of Seasons, Link can visit the Clock Shop in Horon Village. Link can use the Shovel to dig up a spot just above the Clock Shop. Inside he will find the Old Man and can tell him the secret given to him by the Old Hag.[3] He recognizes the secret is from the Old Hag in Labrynna. He will give Link a test and if Link passes, he will give his sword a new power.[4] After telling him the secret, 12 monsters will appear and Link will need to defeat them within 30 seconds without dying himself.[5][6]
If Link is able to complete the task within 30 seconds, the Old Man will mention that the Old Hag has chosen well.[7] As promised, he will give Link an upgraded sword.[8] This will be the Noble Sword, although if Link has already acquired it, Link will get the legendary Master Sword. He will then give Link a password he can take back to Labrynna.[9]
