Grandma's House is a building found on Outset Island in The Wind Waker. It is home to Grandma, Link, and Aryll.

Overview

The house is located on the east side of Outside of Island, adjacent to Orca and Sturgeon's House and just down the hill from Abe and Rose's House.

There is a small opening just underneath the entrance to the house, where Link can crawl through. This leads to a dark area beneath Grandma's House that has a treasure chest, which contains an Orange Rupee. There is a back patio attached to the house that overlooks the Great Sea. Two small pots can be found here that contain Green Rupees.

Hero's Shield

On the top floor of the house, the Hero's Shield can be seen hanging on the wall. After Aryll has been kidnapped by the Helmaroc King, Link wants to head out with Tetra and her pirate crew, but he will first need to acquire a shield. The shield is gifted to Link by Grandma.

Elixir Soup

Main article: Elixir Soup

After Link returns to Outset Island to find Nayru's Pearl, he will find that his grandmother is under the weather and can be seen sitting on the first floor chair. If Link brings Grandma a Fairy, this will return Grandma to health. On subsequent visits to Outset Island, Link will be able to visit Grandma at her house and she will cook up some Elixir Soup for him.
