"Before the Fairy Fountain was plugged by that rock, you could always find fairies there. In fact, long ago, I used to put them in empty bottles and play with them. I don't see many fairies these days, though. It's sad, how life's little pleasures have a way of slipping through the cracks of time, isn't it? Ah, well. In any case, your grandmother will need some fairy dust if she is to get better. Then again, I suppose seeing you and Aryll safe and happy again is more important to her than anything else!"

Tri Force Heroes

"Powder that fairies sneeze out. It's got a million uses."

— In-game description (EU)

Fairy Dust is used to create the Jack of Hearts and Queen of Hearts.

"...I've got just the thing for you—a fairy tonic! Just heat up a little bit of fairy dust, and BAM—you've got yourself something really special!"

Beedle

The main ingredient of a Fairy Tonic is fairy dust, dropped by a Fairy if Link throws them over a cooking pot. They drop the dust and then fly away.

Non-Canon Appearances

The Wand of Gamelon

A woman in Sakado wants fairy dust in return for a Magic Cloak. It can be obtained at The Fairy Pool by defeating the evil witches there.
