Cooke is a character found in Tears of the Kingdom.
Tears of the Kingdom
Cooke runs the Bedrock Bistro, found along the path south of Goron City. Early on he can be seen behind the counter, munching down on some Marbled Rock Roast.
If Link tries to talk to him, Cooke will not offer any service to him at all.[1] He is upset with Mezer for wasting some Marbled Rock Roast, and until he pays him back, Cooke is denying any service to any Hylians. Cooke mentions that there is some roast in the nearby caves and that he laid down some tracks in order to quickly reach the caves. However, the delivery guy is slacking, so the roast is becoming hard to come by.[2][3]
Meat for Meat

Cooke can be seen arguing with Mezer, who had wasted one of his Marbled Rock Roast. Mezer is trying to repay Link with a Large Zonai Charge, but Cooke is not interested at all.[4][5] Mezer would like to repay Cooke, but it's too dangerous for a Hylian to go into the nearby caves and look for some roast. Cooke doesn't seem to care at all and insists that Mezer bring back some roast.[6][7] This will begin the Meat for Meat quest.
After Link travels to the East Restaurant Cave, he can find some Marbled Rock Roast and use a Mine Cart and Fan on the tracks to bring it back to the Bedrock Bistro.[8] Mezer jumps in and asks to trade his Large Zonai Charge for the roast.[9] After doing so, he and Cooke are squared away.[10][11]
Even after Link helps Mezer, the Bistro still remains closed. Cooke claims that tasting food is an important part of a Chef's work, so until he's done eating, the place is closed. That includes anything on the Hylian menu.[12]
After all is resolved with Mezer, Cooke admits to Link that he's still short on Rock Roast, and offers him a special dish each time he's brought some. Cooke has an esteemed guest present in Mr. Gomo. He's trying to appease the goromand by preparing Ripened Flint, but laments about how fickle and rare the delicacy is.
