Boko is a common prefix used in The Legend of Zelda series to describe many wood enemies or objects, first used commonly in The Wind Waker. In many ways it shares its meaning and usage with the prefix, Deku.

Enemies

  • Boko Baba, an enemy that appears in The Wind Waker. It is a plant-like enemy with a stem and a head that will try to attack Link. It is the Wind Waker counterpart to Deku Baba.
  • Bokoblin, a recurring enemy that first appeared in The Wind Waker. While not wood-based, they are often seen in forests and are inspired by the Boko prefix.

Items and Objects

  • Boko Stick, a weapon often used by Bokoblin. The stick is the hardened stem of a Boko Baba. Link can pickup the weapon and can light it on fire or use it against enemies.
  • Boko Bulb, an object Link can jump into to restore Magic, and also to launch himself upwards. Often left behind after defeating a Boko Baba.
  • Boko Nut, a wooden nut found in The Wind Waker often used to attack enemies or traps, as well as to solve puzzles.
  • Boko Club, a small wooden club used by enemies in Breath of the Wild.
  • Boko Bat, a large wooden club that is used by enemies in Breath of the Wild.
  • Boko Spear, a common Spear weapon found in Breath of the Wild.
  • Boko Bow, a common wooden Bow found in Breath of the Wild.
  • Boko Shield, a common Shield found in Breath of the Wild.
