The Big Sale Flag is an item that makes an appearance in The Wind Waker. It plays a part in the The Wind Waker Trading Sequence.

The Big Sale Flag can be obtained by trading another item to the Traveling Merchant at Mother and Child Isles. He accepts the Fountain Idol, Skull Tower Idol, and Hero's Flag for the Big Sale Flag.[1][2][3] In addition, he requires a payment of 35 Rupees.[4] If Link agrees to the offer, the two form the "merchant's oath", which causes the Traveling Merchant to send shipments of the Big Sale Flag to Zunari's Shop.[5] The next time Link visits Windfall Island, Zunari is selling the Big Sale Flag for 35 Rupees.[6]

He can also trade the Big Sale Flag to other merchants to receive new items. On Mother and Child Isles, the merchant gives him a Big Catch Flag, as long as he also pays 85 Rupees.[7] On Greatfish Isle and Bomb Island, both of the merchants offer the Hero's Flag.[8][9] On Greatfish Isle, the merchant requires 75 Rupees, but the one on Bomb Island only asks for 65.[10][11]

When he is not using it for the Trading Sequence, Link can place the Big Sale Flag in Joy Pedestals around Windfall Island. He carries it in his Delivery Bag.[12]
