Well That Was Fast! Breath of the Wild Trick Lets Players Collect All Korok Seeds in 10 minutes!

I’m going to be honest. To date, I still haven’t collected all 900 Korok Seeds in Breath of the Wild. The hounding “Shame” scene in Game of Thrones rings in my ears at this very moment. However, a unique trick exists for finding all of those pesky seeds quite readily, and then some!

Be wary, readers, as this technique is not for the faint of heart. In this recent video by glitch hunter GamingReinvented, we are able to witness a masterful execution of near-classic Nintendo glitch manipulation as to attain 999 Korok Seeds, 99 more than the game’s intended total. This well-known trick (showcased by others like YouTuber El Duende and speedrunner kinak) utilizes a fair number of steps that are quite intuitive and self-explanatory (just kidding) to attain these Korok Seeds in only a short time.

I encourage you to check the complete set of steps demonstrated by GamingReinvented right here, but you can attain all of Breath of the Wild‘s Korok Seeds by performing the following actions:

1. Start a new game (any difficulty), retrieve the Sheikah Slate, and leave the Shrine of Resurrection.
2. Don’t pick up any clothes, and instead make a beeline for a Woodcutter’s Axe.
3. Save manually.
4. Jump into the lake by the Temple of Time where the ring of water lilies is to get a Korok Seed. Let the game autosave.
5. Go to the title screen and change difficulty.
6. Load autosave and set up IST (inventory slot transfer) the usual way.
7. Drop an item.
8. Return to the title screen, and set the difficulty back to original.
9. Reload the manual save, unequip the axe, and then reload the same save file.
10. Repeat twice.
11. Load the autosave, don’t pause, and don’t open the menu. Just run until the autosave triggers.
12. Reload the manual save three times.

Somehow this random assortment of actions leads to 999 Korok Seeds. Simple, huh?
