One of the most beloved characters in the Zelda series is none other than our horse companion, Epona. She has been by Link’s side since her debut in Ocarina of Time back in 1998, and has even returned as the legendary horse in Breath of the Wild. Although Epona has not appeared in every Zelda game, she has made her presence known in the franchise’s history as a symbol of adventure for the players. It is very likely that Epona will continue to appear in future Zelda games alike and of course, be an important companion for our hero.

Now, if you’re looking for some nostalgic, childhood memories of the beloved horse, BeardBear has uploaded this compilation video on Epona’s development in the Zelda franchise. In his anthology, BeardBear begins with her first appearance in Ocarina of Time and transitions over to Epona’s first cutscene from Majora’s Mask.
