Update: Majora’s Mask wood carving

Suni I am not sure if any of you remember, but a few months ago I posted about a work-in-progress Majora’s Mask art project. The project by Mario Mayer is an incredibly realistic, wooden replica of the mask. The mask is not only carved from a single slab of wood besides the horns and eyes but is fully sized and perfectly textured. When I first featured it in July it was only in the beginning stages, without even the spikes or any paint, but now, it is complete! And it looks incredible! Hit the jump to view pictures and found out more.

You can view my previous feature for more details. Sadly, the mask was actually finished the beginning of September, but I just now found out. I apologize I could not bring you the news sooner.

Below are some example photos of the finished product.

Personally, I find it amazing and hope you do too. Thanks for reading guys!

Here is the Facebook fan page Mayer created documenting the project.
