Twitter Campaign to get Skull Kid in Super Smash Bros. 4

Ever since 2009, gamers have been eagerly waiting for the next Super Smash Bros. title. Now, with Nintendo’s E3 announcement regarding the next game, people have been hyped more now than ever. But one question remains: who will the playable characters be? We can assume that all of our normal heroes and villains will be returning, but who will be introduced? Recently, there has been a campaign on Twitter to have Skull Kid as a playable character in the next installment. Make the jump to see more!
A Twitter user who ran the Professor Layton Twitter accounts held a poll recently regarding what character fans wanted to see in the coming game. Skull Kid won the poll, and the results were tweeted to Mr. Sakurai on behalf of the North American and European voters. Now people have begun to retweet the poll in hopes of supporting Skull Kid as a playable character.
