Try Not to Lose It Over this Phenomenal Fan-Made Zelda Game Room

Zelda fan Edlothian has completed his insanely immersive Zelda-themed game room he has dubbed, “The Sanctuary.” The room is adorned wall to wall with a dungeon-like façade, and every inch is packed with iconography from throughout the series. Not to mention, Edlothian boasts a hearty collection of Zelda memorabilia including controllers, figurines, consoles, amiibo, board games, a Master Sword, a Hylian Shield, and more. The project must have been a huge undertaking, but all the work was worth it as it is quite a triumph.
The room includes designs on the walls that range from torches along the stairwell heading down into the room to an etching of the Wind Fish, a painting of wall-merged Link from A Link Between Worlds, ocarina song directions, Mt. Tamaranch from Link’s Awakening, a Twilight Princess owl statue painting, a mosaic of Link from the opening of The Wind Waker, the Door of Time, Breath of the Wild Hylian text, Divine Beast icons, Skull Kid’s self-portrait, and an Ocarina of Time-style locked door. Other noteworthy inclusions are a tablecloth of the map from A Link to the Past, a metallic gold Triforce sculpture, Zelda pillows, and a sculpture of the moon from Majora’s Mask. This is the Zelda version of Willy Wonka’s chocolate room, a world of pure imagination and one I wish I could get a golden ticket to go play some games in.
Edlothian is still hard at work making more props for the room, including a Zelda candle holder and very involved amiibo stand dioramas of Link’s house from Ocarina of Time and a Skyward Sword altar so far. I truly cannot get over this room; it is a major feat. I can only hope that Nintendo World at Universal decides to add a Zelda area soon and builds it fast. Otherwise I’ll have to settle for being immersed into the games alone for now (which I think we can all agree is still a pretty great consolation prize).
