tribabes After Tri Force Heroes was presented at E3, IGN sat down for an interview with the game’s director, Hiromasa Shikata. One important piece of information that Shikata shared with IGN was the fact that Amiibo will be not be supported in the 3DS co-op Zelda game. Shikata explained, “…this game isn’t a natural fit for [Amiibo]… because we’re focused on giving players the ability to choose different outfits to impact their experience within the game.” He added, “There’s no reason to shoehorn it in.” Shocking coming from a Nintendo staff member considering how profitable Amiibo have been and the way Zelda fans eat up merchandise.
