Tread Lightly Comic

In Ocarina of Time, the Hover Boots are a pretty snazzy item. Who wouldn’t want to be able to hover over thin air, even for just a few seconds? Besides the fact that they’re a fantasy item, do they make any sense? The folks over at Awkward Zombie don’t believe so. What exactly stops them from floating away when Link gets them out of the treasure chest? The world may never know. Make the jump and check out the comic to see Awkward Zombie’s take on it.

This comic’s pretty funny, not least of all because it’s realistic. If the boots can levitate Link while he’s wearing them, then there’s no logical reason that they don’t float all on their own. Maybe there’s an “on” switch that the game just doesn’t tell us about. That would make a bit more sense.
