Time to Square Off and Dance Off in this Ska Cover of the Hyrule Temple Theme
Posted on August 29 2019 by Kristen G. Rosario
The cover we’re listening to today is for the Hyrule Temple Theme from Super Smash Bros. Melee and features a genre of music I’m not that familiar with, Ska. Apparently, ska is a music genre which is a hybrid mashup of both the Carribean and American musical styles, making prominent use of horn instruments. The Ska Tune Network takes this music genre and puts some more flair of sorts on this memorable score.
Other ska covers he’s done for Zelda include the Lost Woods Theme and the Dragon Roost Island Theme. He’s even performed reworks of other popular pieces of music from series such as Pokémon, Animal Crossing, Sonic the Hedgehog, Kirby Super Star, and more.
What do you think of this cover? Will you be checking out any more work from the Ska Tune Network? Let us know in the comments below.
