The Tier Force Heroes are back with more fun Zelda content for viewers to enjoy! In this Breath of the Wild-themed episode, Gooey Fame, Corey Richmond, and Skull Kid Nico discuss and rank the Champions and their descendants. The crew includes Link and Zelda in their discussion, giving Tier Force Heroes ten characters to analyze. The goal of the video is to discuss each character’s role as a “Champions of Hyrule,” along with their abilities and personality. This was done so that Link and Zelda do not get an unfair advantage as the main characters of the game. Unlike other Tier Force Heroes video, which use different tiers (S-Tier, A-Tier), this video uses a classic 1-10 ranking system.

When examining the different Champions, several discussions point came up as the Tier Force Heroes were building their list. The group agreed that they would take storylines and gameplay of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity into account as part of their rankings. Second, the Tier Force Heroes acknowledge that the original Champions (Revali, Mipha, Urbosa, and Daruk) have an advantage over their descendants given that they are featured in more content than their descendants. For example, the original Champions are present in the main game, and they are further fleshed out with additional memories in the Champions’ Ballad DLC. Because the crew is only ranking ten characters, each Champion get a chance to shine with thoughtful and sometime humorous reflections on their personalities, character development, and role in gameplay.
