The incredible team at The Zelda Project have very recently updated their website with a photo-shoot of Lon Lon Ranch, and it is absolutely amazing. I don’t know about you all, but I’ve always felt that, even in Ocarina of Time 3D Lon Lon Ranch and Malon have looked a bit peculiar, but The Zelda Project changes all that.

If you aren’t familiar with what The Zelda Project, in their own words:

The Zelda Project is a Los Angeles, CA based group of fans who seek to bring to life the characters, settings, and overall feel of Ocarina of Time through photography and film.

And bring the characters to life is exactly what is reflected in this recent addition. Through a combination of characters, training, costume-making, and Photoshop magic, scenes inspired from Ocarina of Time suddenly enters the realm of reality.

For me, this cosplay did exactly what I think they intended; it gave me another way to view the classic characters by bridging the gap between a fourteen year old polygonal “mess” and the Hyrule fantasy. But don’t just take my word for it, head on over to the project page on their website, which receives an update every Wednesday.
