The Salt Series Returns to Zelda with a Review of Breath of the Wild’s Champions’ Ballad DLC
Posted on January 25 2018 by Kristen G. Rosario
I’ll be the first to admit that I did have a enjoyable experience with The Champions’ Ballad DLC for Breath of the Wild. I will confess though that this new story content was lacking in certain areas. Regardless of what I think, one “salty” fan believes that there should have been more to experience in this DLC.
In a recent episode from the “…Side of Salt” series, ScottFalco talks about his experience playing The Champions’ Ballad DLC. Needless to say, he wasn’t a huge fan of this new content. While Scott does admit that the second half of the DLC is pretty fun, it’s the not-so-great first half that is lacking.
There are unique parts of the new shrines that he enjoyed, but he wishes they were integrated more into one much bigger shrine. As for the new story cutscenes, Scott believes they suffer from what the memory cutscenes in the main story do, as they just make him wish he was playing in the pre-Calamity Hyrule instead.
What do you think of his review? Do you agree with what Scott said about The Champions’ Ballad DLC? Let us know in the comments below.
