The rarest Zelda merchandise
Posted on December 11 2013 by Jen
Over the course of 27 years, the Zelda series has produced many products. There is an entire ocean of Zelda action figures, plushies, statues, pins, cards, Ect. Some Zelda merchandise are more worth wild and rare than others, but the rare items are the most unique and scarce.

Pop culture stores like Hot Topic sometimes sell the Gacha Phantom Hourglass figurines, and more recently Skyward Sword capsule mini figurines. It’s always fun to buy yourself a Gacha figure because you never know what you’re going to get- it’s a surprise every time (unless you break open the ball before purchasing, which I’ve done before, but I bought it so it was okay). Zelda items like this are not rare and easy to acquire, unlike a good number of other Zelda merchandise.
Some of the greatest Zelda merchandise came out during the late 1980s and 1990s. These items include a jigsaw puzzle, placemats, a cereal, dish ware, a pencil case, towels, and much more. Merchandise like the Zelda beach towel (1988), and The Legend of Zelda Game and Watch (1989) have artwork form the original Zelda game. Some of the rarest items come from other countries. For example, a Hyrule Castle from Spain, and a limited edition gold Zelda GameBoy from Europe are only two of some of the most scarce Zelda items.
There are a number of other Zelda products. There are countless action figures produced by different companies, along with unofficial and official plushes (not to mention the new The Wind Waker HD plushes). It would be wonderful to one day own every single piece of Zelda merchandise, but that would take quite a bit of time. Half the fun of collecting Zelda products is the joy of the challenge of finding the scarce items. The other half of the fun is buying, and opening your new prize.
So Zelda fans, what do you think? Do any of you own some rare Zelda merchandise? If so, PLEASE share what products you own, where you got it, and what it means to you! If you do not own any rare material, share with us the item you most would like to have!
