Princess Zelda has come a long way from where she started in the original The Legend of Zelda. Eventually breaking out of the stereotypical damsel in distress persona, Zelda has proven countless times that it’s not only up to Link anymore to defeat Ganon. It now takes even more of her own skill and know-how to vanquish evil. There are some things that you may not have known about the Princess of Hyrule though, as this list featuring ten interesting facts about her will show.
This said list, provided by TheGamer, gives us ten “dark secrets” about Princess Zelda that you may not have known about her. The video covers topics ranging from Zelda’s abilities as a master of disguise, her relationship with her family, how powerful she truly is, and, of course, her stereotyped role as a damsel in distress by Nintendo. TheGamer even bring up Eiji Aonuma’s infamous quote about why there hasn’t been a female protagonist in a Zelda game yet.
