First introduced in the 1991 SNES classic A Link to the Past, the Master Sword has become an iconic weapon throughout the legacy of video games. Also known as the “Blade of Evil’s Bane”, the sword has seen many incarnations of darkness fall from its might. There have been many replicas of this legendary weapon, with each one being spectacular in its own right. However, one crafter has taken it upon themselves to recreate the Master Sword in a truly unique way.

The crafter in question is none other than Craft Boy, who has not only built a replica Master Sword that glows when you take it out of a recreated sheath, but the cross guard on the hilt flaps as well. Using a combination of 3D printing, resin, electronic circuitry, and a splash of paint, this winged blade is ready to fly off at a moment’s notice. Not only was the weapon and its sheath replicated in amazing detail, but the painstaking lengths the creator went to while putting this together is very impressive.

Craft Boy has recreated other iconic weapons from TV and video games with one of the more obtainable materials around: popsicle sticks. Take Final Fantasy for instance — Craft Boy recreated Cloud’s iconic Fusion Buster Sword from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children using only that wooden supply. They were able to do the same thing with Genji from Overwatch, creating a replica of their Wakizashi using 344 popsicle sticks. Pretty cool considering all of this is only a taste of what Craft Boy can put together.
