While many games are currently being developed for the Oculus Rift, some classics such as the NES Legend of Zelda are already undergoing a beta revealing the virtual 8-bit reality of Hyrule in 3D.

Currently, beta 1.0 only allows enough progress to beat the first dungeon. The first video by YouTuber Vaecon shows a brief demo of  beta 1.0 in the overworld. The second video below by YouTuber YOGSCAST Martyn shows a playthrough of the first dungeon.

In case you’re wondering how to get a hold of an Oculus Rift, the Oculus Rift Developer Kit is available for roughly 300 USD. Hopefully the Oculus Rift Legend of Zelda version will be completed before the Rift is released for public retail. Perhaps there will even more of your favorite classic NES titles reworked for the Oculus Rift
