The Legend of Beavis: Cartoons Collide in this Beavis and Butthead Mashup

Yeah! Yeah! Adult language!

Way, way back in the 1990s there was no greater cartoon duo than the titular characters Beavis and Butthead. They are two average fourteen year old boys who watch TV, try to get girls, and make fun of everything in their path. Some of you may also remember the Zelda cartoon that aired a few years prior in 1989. Brittany here at Zelda Dungeon covered new insights into the show’s production a few weeks ago, and you can read that post here.

Thanks to YouTuber KhalidSMShahin, these two classic cartoons have combined into one special episode! Carefully editing together audio from Beavis and Butthead over our Zelda cartoon KhalidSMShahin and their sister Apricot404 make Link speak with the voice of Beavis.

Whoa! This is cool!

Yeah, Zelda kicks butt!

The video is very well edited, seamlessly combining clips from Zelda episodes “The Ringer” and “Sing for the Unicorn” with innumerous audio clips from Beavis and Butthead. Stick around until the end to see an even further crossover with the Adult Swim TV series Sealab 2021!

Beavis’s voice over cartoon Link is absolutely perfect in my humble opinion. The teenager’s overt drive for women and crass attitude is not so different than cartoon Link trying to woo the princess. An equally funny match is Butthead lending his voice to the King of Hyrule. The banter between Beavis and Butthead is humorous enough, but when spoken by the hero of Hyrule and his King it is even funnier.

If you are a fan of either of these cartoons, then you need to watch this video. That goes double if you are a fan of both. The mashup fits surprisingly well considering how different the two sources are, and the video shows a clear love for both series.
