The Hookshot Pulls Us In For a Closer Look In This Retrospective Video

One of the best things that I can say about the items and weapons you get in the Zelda series is that they are proof of progression. Having to backtrack to an earlier part of the game with the gear you currently have equipped shows how far you’ve come in the game. That’s the kind of item ZeldaConqueror is looking at today as he gets dragged head first into the legacy of the Hookshot.
ZeldaConqueror takes a retrospective look into the history and lineage of this classic weapon. He takes a look at its abilities, different variations, strengths, and all of the locations in the series that this item has been found in. According to ZeldaConqueror, the Hookshot has been in 11 different Zelda titles, appeared in multiple non-mainline series games, usually is obtained in a water area, and has at least five different variations/upgrades. He even points out how this item just missed being in Breath of the Wild.
